'Bring a book to the stage'

'Bring a book to the stage' - Experiment's Theatre summer project 2024!

About this event:

On the 13th and 14th of August, join an amazing theatre company who are reimagining the classic Virginia Woolf novel - Mrs Dalloway for the stage! You'll get the chance to meet the company's director, writers and designers as they enter a period of research and development to retell this 1923 story, to instead take place in Westminster's today. Throughout these workshops, you'll get the chance to support devising new ways to turn this classic text and characters into something new for a contemporary audience!

Highlights include:

  • Devising and writing new scenes based on the original text
  • Learning how to turn internal monologues and thoughts into theatrical expression for the stage
  • Explore how to use sound & microphones as a way of changing perspectives in scenes

These workshops will also be hosted by the amazing Dream Arts Team
