Ever wanted to plan an exciting event? Think you’ve got the skills to bring people together? Want to learn how to manage a budget and lead your own project? This opportunity is for you! 

We’re looking for young people aged 15-18 who live or attend school in Westminster to co-create, manage, and deliver events for young people. By joining our team, you’ll: 

  • Build confidence and develop leadership skills 
  • Gain new creative & practical skills (perfect for your CV!) 
  • Connect with creative & event professionals for future job opportunities 
  • Attend weekly planning meetings, rotating between in-person and online sessions

Recap

So far this year, our Event's Leadership Team have planned two events: Magna Carta 1225 Late with Society of Antiquaries & North Paddington Canalside Festival with Westminster Council. 

Want to get involved?

Join us to plan our third event, in partnership with Fitzrovia Youth Action - a youth-led charity in Camden and Westminster that empowers young people to lead community projects such as community street festivals and dinners, and create positive changes. 

Details

The event will be delivered in March 2026. Planning meetings will start in December 2025, we will alternate between weekly/fortnightly meetings and online and in person. 

The first two meetings, will be held on 4th and 11th December 2025, this is an introduction to the programme, the City Lions team and to welcome any questions you have. The planning meetings will begin in January.
