Sign up to City Lions Mentoring

Are you looking to gain confidence, boost your employability skills and explore your future career options? If you are in Year 10, 11 or Year 12, why not sign up to the City Lions Mentoring Programme!

Based on your interests and future goals, we’ll pair you with an inspirational creative mentor with similar expertise who will work with you over six months to:

  • Build your confidence
  • Develop your skills - communication, organisation, independence, motivation and resilience
  • Learn how to set and achieve your goals
  • Explore careers in the creative industry and find out more about the job you want to do
  • Support you in planning your post-16 or post-18 options
  • Meet a network of creative experts to help with your future job opportunities

Meetings with your mentor will be part-structured, allowing each meeting to be tailored to your interests and goals. Your mentor will be there to really listen and provide a safe space for guidance and support.

Mentoring will start in December 2025 and run until June 2026. You and your mentor will meet once - twice a month, at a time that suits you both, either in-person or virtually. In-person meetings will take place in the City of Westminster area.

What other young people say about mentoring:

“It teaches you a lot and can inform you about yourself and help you in many ways. You are in a safe space to talk and can have a lot of fun.”

“It is an experience to unleash your creativity, know your own potential and learn about jobs and skills for the workplace.”

“I really enjoyed the programme I feel like I got to learn so much... do things I didn’t think I was capable of. I got to build my confidence and learn professional skills which will become useful for the future. I feel more confidence and take more pride in my work.”
