Sisley Hamer

Sisley Hamer, City Lions Senior Project Officer

Sisley graduated from Loughborough University with a BSC in Social Policy and secured a place on the Local Government National Graduate Programme - placed at Westminster City Council. Across the graduate programme she worked in various roles in the Council, from Cultural Policy to Economic Development and Street Markets.

After this, she secured a role in City Lions, where her passions for education, young people and creativity found their place. Sisley initially worked on setting up processes and evaluation methods for the team but fast forward 6 years, she now delivers City Lions’ mentoring programme and schools’ careers programme.

Sisley inspires by finding freedom and release in her creative work.

Sisley is a contemporary dancer (and have been since she was at secondary school) attending regular classes at The Place. It is her favourite way to let go of stress and just be myself.

Despite sounding like she is from the South of England - her heritage is Welsh, Italian, and South African.

Her dream is to explore as much of the world as possible!

If she had a chance, she would ask everyone: “What changes do you want to see in the world by the time you are a young adult?
