Rob Davis, Project Manager and Work Experience Lead
Rob holds a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Arts/Drama from Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a qualified project management practitioner in both Agile and PRINCE2 and have completed a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Systemic Practice in a Safeguarding Setting through the Institute of Family Therapy.
He was a member of the National Youth Theatre and spent a month on tour with them when he was 18-years-old. And he is a big Lego fan. There’s a lot in his house.
Rob’s dream is to visit Japan and experience as much of their culture as possible.
Rob has spent most of his professional life working for Westminster. He began his career in 2008 in the Special Educational Needs team, before moving in 2011 to the Looked After Children and Leaving Care Team, where he became a Personal Advisor supporting around 20 care leavers. In 2015, Rob made a significant career change and joined the Westminster Registration Service, conducting marriage and citizenship ceremonies and registering births and deaths.
At that time, the beautiful Old Marylebone Town Hall was undergoing a major multi-million-pound restoration to become the council’s landmark wedding venue. Rob took a leap and put himself forward as the Project Manager overseeing the building’s relaunch. Rob has passion for project management and this passion led him to secure a role in a small team called the Project Delivery Unit, which supported a range of council projects, including a new youth engagement programme, City Lions.
Rob has an inspiration on seeing first-hand how young people can flourish by engaging with cultural and creative pursuits.
