Get ready to rethink everything you know about drawing!
Drawing Lab is a playful, confidence-building workshop where we’ll explore what drawing can be. What happens when you try to draw a pineapple with the wrong hand? Can a battery-powered chihuahua make its own masterpiece? What does a self-portrait look like when you're standing on one leg with your eyes closed?
This is your chance to experiment, have fun, and try something new. Whether you're a seasoned sketcher or just curious, this workshop is all about creativity, exploration, and shaking up the rules.
You'll also get to meet new people and discover more about The Showroom—a space with a rich history of radical art practice and rethinking what a gallery is and who it’s for.
No experience needed, just bring your imagination! All materials provided. Ages 7-13

What’s your journey? How did you get here?
Maybe it was the number 6 bus, a quick walk from around the corner, or maybe your story spans countries and oceans. Whether your journey is simple or complex, long or short, this is your chance to share it—visually, playfully, and together—on the streets of Church Street.
Artist Nassim Azarzar reflects on migration and movement through symbols and stories. In this workshop, you’ll add your own mark to a shared artwork that celebrates how we all arrive at The Showroom, from near and far.
All ages welcome. No experience needed—just bring your story and your imagination!
